Our Services

Chiropractic

Chiropractors specialise in the diagnosis, treatment and management of mechanical problems of the spine and other joints. They utilise many different types of treatment, typically manual therapy, but also provide professional advice on exercise, rehab, nutrition and lifestyle.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy helps restore movement and function when you are affected by injury, illness or disability.  Physiotherapists help people through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice.  At Protherapy, we have the experience to provide a specific rehabilitation plan to help manage your pain, recover from injury, restore function and achieve your goals.

Sports injury rehabilitation

Sports injuries happen – we know that – but getting the right advice at the start of your recovery is crucial so you know what you are dealing with and the best options for treatment.  We will establish a three phase rehabilitation plan that allows the injury time to recover; restores flexibility and strength; and finally builds sport-specific function and agility to allow for a successful return to play.

Surgical Prehab and Rehab

Protherapy has extensive knowledge and experience with both pre-habilitation before joint surgery (e.g. knee and hip replacement) and rehabilitation following surgery, providing crucial advice and guidance from the very beginning to your longer term recovery.  With established links to locally renowned orthopaedic surgeons, we can work with you to help maximise the best possible outcomes after your operation.

Joint Injections

Steroid injections for reducing the symptoms of osteo-arthritis or soft tissue inflammation (£185 per injection)

Steroid injections are potent anti-inflammatory treatments for conditions like arthritis and bursitis.  Following assessment and confirming suitability, your clinician (Troy Wilson) will safely prescribe and administer these injections, typically combining the steroid with a local anaesthetic for rapid pain relief.

Hyaluronic injections for improving function/reducing pain in joints with osteo-arthritis (£285 per injection)

Hyaluronic (HA) is a naturally occurring molecule that helps provide cushioning and lubrication within a normal joint. It is found in high concentration within all healthy joints, but reduces with age.

We are an official provider of OSTENIL® PLUS injections, containing hyaluronic (HA) developed specifically for the treatment of osteoarthritis. It is injected directly into the joint space that contains synovial fluid to help decrease pain and stiffness and improve the symptoms of osteoarthritis. OSTENIL® PLUS has been extensively tested and has not been found to cause any serious side effects, allowing for repeat injections (if required) to help manage joint pain and maintain function.
